While Graduate House suites are fully furnished, there are basic items
that you should plan to bring with you or purchase upon your arrival.

that you should plan to bring with you or purchase upon your arrival.
For the bedroom:
- Bedding, linens, and pillow (Our mattresses are standard twin-size)
- Clothes hangers
- Computer with installation disks & power bars
- Ethernet cable
- Hair drier, curling irons, flat irons

Towels, washcloths
- Personal toiletries (including toilet paper)
- OHIP or other health insurance information
- School supplies
- Laundry bag
- HE (High Efficiency) Detergent (our washers only take this
kind)
- Bedding, linen, and pillow
- Television, if desired
- Telephone, if desired
- Athletic or recreational equipment
- Umbrella and rain gear
- Plants
- University documentation
For the
kitchen/common area:
- Dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, cooking utensils, dish towels and
soap.
- Shower curtain, bath mat
You may want to purchase some common items with your suitemates such as a
kettle, toaster, bath mat, etc.
Should you need help in locating these items upon your arrival, the
office staff and Residence Life Staff will be happy to assist you with
directions
and suggestions as to where to shop!
We have ample refrigerator space in each suite, but if you choose to
bring a mini-fridge, please ensure that is less than three years old and
is energy efficient.
Please do not bring:
- Drapes or wall hangings
- Halogen lamps
- Space heaters
- Toaster ovens
- Pets (with the exception of fish)
- Waterbeds
- Mattresses
- Other furniture (office chairs, cabinets, tables, etc.)
- Water coolers
