Graduate House offers students suite-style accommodations, which offer both privacy and community. While the architects of Graduate House included approximately 25 different suite layouts, the majority of suites conform to the following three designs: 3-Person, One-Floor Suite
This suite layout contains three single bedrooms, a full washroom (sink, toilet, and bathtub with shower), a two piece washroom (sink and toilet), a kitchen (fridge, oven, and microwave), and a living area (leather loveseat, leather armchair, coffee table, TV stand, and kitchen table with 4 chairs). Each suite also contains a floor lamp, vacuum cleaner, cleaning equipment (mop and broom), and waste receptacles. Suites have individual controls for heating and air conditioning, and outside air exchange is supplied individually to each suite. Each window has a sliding section that opens to the outside. The bedrooms are approximately 9 ft x 14 ft including closet space. Bedroom furniture includes a regular twin-size captain's bed, a very large desk, a two-drawer pedestal, a small bookshelf, a floor lamp, and a waste receptacle. Each room has a high-speed Internet connection linked to the campus fibre-optic backbone, and reasonable personal use is permitted for free (the current limit is just under 2.5 Gb combined upload and download per week). Jacks are provided for telephone and cable television in each bedroom and living area; however, residents are required to establish and pay separately for these services if desired. Students are required to provide their own bed linen and blankets, towels, kitchen cutlery and dishes, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies. 4-Person, One-Floor Suite
This suite layout contains three single bedrooms and one premium bedroom, a full washroom (sink, toilet, and bathtub with shower), a two piece washroom (sink and toilet), a kitchen (fridge, oven, and microwave), and a living area (leather loveseat, leather armchair, coffee table, TV stand, and kitchen table with 4 chairs). Each suite also contains a floor lamp, vacuum cleaner, cleaning equipment (mop and broom), and waste receptacles. Suites have individual controls for heating and air conditioning, and outside air exchange is supplied individually to each suite. Each window has a sliding section that opens to the outside. The regular single bedrooms are approximately 9 ft x 14 ft including closet space. The premium bedroom is up to 20% larger than a regular single. Bedroom furniture in all rooms, regardless of size, includes a regular twin-size captain's bed, a very large desk, a two-drawer pedestal, a small bookshelf, a floor lamp, and a waste receptacle. Each room has a high-speed Internet connection linked to the campus fibre-optic backbone, and reasonable personal use is permitted for free (the current limit is just under 2.5 Gb combined upload and download per week). This two-floor suite layout separates the living area and kitchen from the bedrooms. These suites are accessed by the common floor, and the design places the four single bedrooms on the floor above or below, to be accessed by a set of stairs. These suites have limited storage areas beneath the stairs for residents' belongings. The common level has an open layout with the kitchen occupying one wall of the living area. This suite layout contains four single bedrooms, a full washroom (sink, toilet, and bathtub with shower), a two piece washroom (sink and toilet), a shower room (shower only), a kitchen (fridge, oven, and microwave), and a living area (leather loveseat, leather armchair, coffee table, TV stand, and kitchen table with 4 chairs). Each suite also contains a floor lamp, vacuum cleaner, cleaning equipment (mop and broom), and waste receptacles. Suites have individual controls for heating and air conditioning, and outside air exchange is supplied individually to each suite. Each window has a sliding section that opens to the outside.
