Residence Life Staff at Graduate House |
|
Graduate House is very proud of its Residence Life Staff, a group of students who work hard to make the experience of their fellow residents as rewarding as possible. Their role is to offer academic and personal support to residents, assist with programming and special events, and help create a sense of community among residents. They are on call after hours in the event of a problem or emergency. In addition, the Residence Advisor for International Students heads up the International Program, offers help to students new to Canada, and hosts events raising cultural awareness at Graduate House.
The Program Officer works hard to build community by helping the creation of small groups to bring together residents who share similar interests. This past year saw the creation of a Cooking Group, an Arts and Crafts Group, a Running Group, a Badminton Group, a Texas Hold 'Em Group, an Arts and Theatre Group, a Cinema Group, and a Go Group.
There are also two student Network Assistants, who are available to assist residents with any step of the network connection process and who maintain the security of our residence network. Last but not least are the Entry Assistants who will help you in the event that you get locked out of your suite, your bedroom, or the building or when you need your security card reprogrammed after hours.

Do you like to cook? Go to the theatre or see movies? Maybe you like to
make crafts, draw, or dine out at different local restaurants? Have you
always wanted to learn to play poker? Or maybe you promised yourself
that you will start to run more regularly?
Life at Graduate House includes intramural sports teams, activity and interest groups, and many excursions in and around the
city. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a free meal in our
courtyard, or dance the night away at an in-house party.
