Offers of residency are given according to the date on which an application is received. Offers continue to be issued throughout the academic year as spaces come available. Once an applicant has receive an offer of residency, their GH Code is removed from the Applicant List.
This list represents a combination of both male and female applicants as well as those applicants who have specifically requested either an immediate move in as well as maybe only a January 2010 move in or a Spring 2010 move in. Therefore an applicant's position on the Applicant List may in fact be better than it appears upon first glance, i.e. an applicant may be ranked #55, but may actually be the first female on the list if everybody before is male. or an applicant may be ranked #10 but if everybody before has requested January 2010 - then these applicants are going to sit at the top of the Applicant List until the winter when spaces for January start coming available. Most importantly - do not let yourself be discouraged by what you perceive to be a daunting number of people on ahead of you - many of those have long since made alternate arrangements and are no longer interested in residing with us at Graduate House!

to let us know your circumstances and to enquire more specifically about where you are positioned on our Applicant List - maybe at this point you are more interested in being considered for space in January 2010 than for one in the fall? Or maybe you have temporary housing that you have secured until the end of November, but will need accommodation as of December?.
We do have a significant number of spaces that come available throughout the academic year as our students defend and graduate literally each and every month and then choose to move out and on with their lives so you will continue to see significant movement in the list even though the academic year has begun.
